The Seasons is a dance work in four parts, interpreting winter, summer, spring, and autumn through movement. The piece takes inspiration from Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the many stage works that have followed it. The choreography reflects the continuous cycle of nature — repeating patterns that are always shifting and evolving — and considers the relationship between the external world and our own inner rhythms.

The work premiered on the Main Stage of the Reykjavík City Theatre. It is created and produced by Snædís Lilja Ingadóttir and Valgerður Rúnarsdóttir, in collaboration with The Iceland Dance Company.

The performance features over twenty artists: dancers from the Iceland Dance Company, actors, children, interns from the Dance Department of the Iceland University of the Arts, and dancers from Forward Youth Company.
